I saw a few threads out there with the problem of a paper jam, they didn't help me, but I solved it eventually after a few hours.
You remove the paper and it gets stuck in "remove paper jam from rear" etc. I opened it, examined it with a torch, used canned air to dust everything off, used cotton buds and a scraper to push through anything.
There was so much dust my hands were black and the paper sitting beside me was too. After minutes of being turned off, I turned it on sure that it would work as I practically shook it, dusted it and poked it clean. But, no; the error persisted.
My solution:
Remove the outer casing (this breaks it but you could superglue it back) surrounding the back so I could get to the heater part. I then managed to pull the plastic away and finally see more. A small piece of foil and paper, literally millimetres in size fell out of there.
Be careful, I took pictures before so I would know how to put things back. But if you are really stuck on this error, a bit of disassembly and full shake/dust down required.
I turned the printer back on it was now ready to print! But I tried to print and it jammed (I must have messed with the rollers - the paper came out dusty) so I removed the paper and tried again, to fail. At last the dust cleared and it printed perfectly again, fully functioning with one line of rim casing not reattaching.
If you are looking for a last resort grab a screwdriver, torch and canned air/vacuum.
