I have a B1265dfw Mono MFP, installed as a network printer using ipv4, which I am really not happy with.
The problem is that it keeps going into deep sleep and when someone sends a print job to it, while in deep sleep, it doesn't wake up.
I have found a workaround to get it back up and running, but this is bound to cause problems further down the line. my "high-tech" workaround is to pull the power cable out, wait 10 seconds then plug it back in, amazingly everything that was sent to the printer ends up being printed when it does come back online... all 23 copies... (my users have a tendency to keep clicking on the kill-a-tree button until something prints or they realise that the printer is ignoring them).
I have tried other solutions like tinker with the settings as per the user manual:
- Button press is a wake-up event
- Print is a wake-up event and
- So is Scanner
My power save mode is at the maximum 120 minute, Eco mode is Off (despite the focus of this mode being saving toner and paper, NOT electricity)
What I would like is for this printer to be able to stay awake for more than 2 hours and respond to network print requests or actually wake up when someone sends a print job to it. WITHOUT monkey-me having to walk past the printer and push a button on the control panel every hour or cable-pull when it fails.
