In June my ink was low and I bought new cartridges from DELL. After they were installed and minimal pages printed, I got a print head error. As instructed, I removed and cleaned the print head and printer contacts, which had a lot of black in on them. It printed one test page and then gave "print head error" again. The contacts were again smudged with black ink and cleaning would do no good as the printer only displayed "print head error".. By h now the new cartridges were already 50%. IDELL told me the print head was no good. So I bought a new print head and installed. The printer went thru all the mechanics of installing and aligning BUT the alignment paper was blank!! And I printed a test page and it was blank. Also printed a page from a spread sheet and it was blank. I took out the new prin head and the contacts etc were clean BUT now my ink was "very low". So where did the 50% ink go if not printing?
