I have not ever removed the duplexer but checked nonetheless. Nothing is jammed in the printer. It prints just fine. I did alittle more checking on the printer and I have located the clicking noise I stated earlier. Under the glass is the rubber ribbon that carries the light bar back and forth. The light bar like before goes about 1" into the glass and then goes back to start position. When it gets there there is a loud clicking/banging coming from the far end. It us just below and to the right of the glass in a sealed area. There is a black strip molded into the scanner base I believe right below that is the far side ribbon wheel. That is what seems to be making this loud noise. Could this be what is causing the whole problem? If so is there any way to access this area to get inside where the wheel is so I can see if there is a jam or a loose wheel or whatever may be the cause? Thanks for all your help so far.
