Over the last 6 months I have replaced the drum on my 2130cn color laser twice. My total page count is at 27,356. About 4 months ago, my original drum started leaving specks and stripes of Cyan and then it also started leaving a black haze over the whole sheet of my printouts.
I purchased a new Dell drum from Dell and it worked perfect for a month and now it has a different problem of not producing true black. The Dell Toolbox 4 color print test sheet shows good color for everything else but black comes out as a dark gray. In addition, the far left of Magenta has specks now. I ran the gammet of toolbox PHD refresh, toner refresh, etc but to no avail. If I put my old drum back it, it's black is ok but it still has its previous issues.
I am trying to work with Dell to get a replacement of this new drum as it appears to be bad but so far they are not being helpful since my printer is out of warranty.
My question is, could their be any other bad parts on the printer that would cause these drum issues? It seems the drums are a week point on these printers. :(
