I suggest you to purchase Dell branded ink cartridge and perform a ‘Deep clean of Printhead’ from printers control panel after installing the cartridges. Below are the part numbers:

Part# ‘X768N’ for black ink cartridge.

Part# ‘X769N’ for color ink cartridge.

If you reside in the US, call this number to order ink cartridges @ 1877-907-3355.

If the error appears even with the Dell branded cartridges, the issue could be with the printhead, you may return the cartridges within 21 days of purchase and to return the cartridges call @1800-624-9896 and change the printer.
