Paper Jams when printing checks

I am having trouble printing checks with my new Dell Color MFP H625 printer. It prints full sheets (3) of checks fine, but fails 75 percent of the time when I try to print 1 or 2 checks in either portrait or landscape mode (resulting in a paper jam). I did not have trouble printing checks on my old printer. I'm printing checks from Quicken.
