Have the same printer, same problem and tried this suggested solution with zero improvement of the situation. This is the second dell inkjet printer I've had fail on me for seemingly no reason, after a few years of dependable service. It's really putting me off to replacing them with another dell inkjet printer, as I have a brother printer that blows them out of the water.
Does anyone have an idea how to get this Dell 926 printer utilize the black cartridge that's in it to print in black ink, or should this machine get one way trip to the recycling plant?
