I've got a practically new 1355 cnw that I just can't get installed. I've tried on two XP and one Windows 7 machine. Neither XP box can see it over the network at all and the Win 7 unit goes all the way through the install as if it all worked, but the print never makes it out of the printer.
Two of these comptuers used an 1815dn for years successfully. I've uninstalled that printer, downloaded the 1355_SSW_01-00-03-08 application and installed that. The new printer has been configured for the same IP as the old printer (old printer is now off the network and unplugged).
After installation of the App, I get a message box saying the the printer WAS NOT installed right over the top of a larger window saying the printer WAS installed and that I need to reboot. I reboot and get nothing, so I go through the "Add Printer" Windows function. The Win 7 box sees it and installs, but doesn't print. The XP boxes don't see it at all.
On top of that, the printer keeps giving me a 007-371 code 1000000 error and asking to reboot.
What the heck am I missing?!?!?
Also, FYI this printer was moved from another office where it was used successfully for only a couple months about a year and a half ago. Installation was done with the original disk there, but has since been lost.
