Hi Dave,

As maintenance option is unavailable, I suggest you to uninstall the reinstall the Printer drivers in the system with Windows 7 operating system. Please follow the below mentioned steps:

Installing the drivers in the prescribed manner and starting the services necessary for the printing and scanning application could resolve the problem.

Follow the below steps to reinstall the printer drivers in prescribed manner.

Please disconnect the USB cable that runs from the printer to the computer and uninstall the printer driver by using uninstaller software. Here is a link to download one. http://bit.ly/VZKmEa

Install the software and uninstall the printer driver using the Advanced Uninstall option from the software. It is third party uninstaller software used to uninstall the drivers/programs from the computer.

The software prompts asking you to delete the Registry keys corresponding to the printer driver. Select all and delete them. Restart the computer to remove any traces of the printer software.

Perform the steps below and ensure that the services required for the printer to work are started.

  1. Press the “Windows + R” to launch the run window.
  2. Type “Services.msc” in the run window and hit the Enter key.

Right click each service mentioned below, click properties. Set the startup type as “Automatic” from the drop down menu and click “Start”. Please click “Apply” to save the changes.

The services to be enabled are:

  • Human Interface Devices (HID).
  • Printer Spooler.
  • RPC (Remote Procedure Call).
  • RPC Locator (Remote Procedure Call Locator).
  • Windows image acquisition (WIA).
  • Windows Installer.

To setup the printer on wireless with Windows 7 system, please follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Connect the Dell AIO 968 printer to the Windows 7 computer using a USB 2.0 A/B cable.
  2. Insert the Dell AIO 968 Drivers and Utilities CD in the CD-ROM drive of the computer connected to the printer. If you do not have the disc, Use this link to install the printer drivers: http://dell.to/1509Ctn

  7. The Configure Your Wireless Printer Adapter screen appears. Select Keep the current, then click Next.
  8. The installation program starts searching for the printer. After a few minutes, the search completes. The printer name and IP address is displayed.
Note: If the search completes and the printer was not found, click the refresh button. If the printer is still not found, click the Enter IP Address link. When the add printer window opens, click add to enter the IP Address of the printer. The IP Address of the printer can be found by printing the network settings page. Click the Ok or Close buttons until you return to this screen. You should not see the printer name and IP address listed in the box
  9. Enter your computer name and then click Next to continue the installation.
  10. Select the type of installation. Select Typical Install to install all the software and help files or select Advanced Install to select the software to be installed. Click Next to begin the installation.
  11. The software and driver installation begins. It can take several minutes for this portion of the installation to complete.
  12. After the software and drivers are installed, the Congratulations, Setup Complete screen appears. Click the Test Page button to print a test page.
